HND Healthcare
The purpose of the new HND course diploma (RQF) in medical practice is addressed to students who want to continue their education through applied learning and to develop students as professional, self-reflective individuals, able to meet the demands of employers in the health sector and adapt to a world constantly changing.
Students who successfully complete their studies will receive the Pearson HND upon certification. Students with satisfactory grades in the HND can apply to continue their higher education at a UK university to complete an undergraduate course in their chosen field using the additional courses.

Admission requirements
For HND Level 5 admission, applicants need:
- Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
- Level 2 qualifications with relevant work experience or substantial related work experience.
- English proficiency at CEFR level B2.
- Commitment to studies and potential for success.
International qualifications are accepted with UK NARIC equivalence.
Applicants without formal English qualifications will take the College’s written test, with spoken English evaluated during the interview.
The course includes 450 hours of work experience in health and social care settings, supported by the Professional Learning and Development Portfolio (PLAD).
What will I learn in this course?
During the two years of study, students will be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of the basic concepts, values and principles of nursing practice, as well as the skills to function effectively as a support worker in a range of different settings within the sector health. They will be able to communicate correctly and adequately and will have the behaviors and qualities necessary for employment that requires a certain degree of personal responsibility.

- Lower non-clinical management roles

- Operating functions and assistance services, such as in information, office, patient services, health improvement services.
